Equinox Health Clinic is located at #110-1034 Johnson St. (between Vancouver St. and Cook St) in the main entrance of the Sutton East building, provides professional registered massage therapy (RMT) to residents of the greater Victoria City area. Massage Therapy enhances therapeutic outcomes by acting directly upon the muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems to aid in rehabilitating physical injuries and various other conditions. Massage assists in maintaining muscle tone and flexibility and can interrupt potentially harmful repetitive strain patterns. Some of the many conditions that we treat are : acute or chronic neck and back pain, sport injuries, cervical injuries, headaches, TMJ (jaw pain), foot pain and dysfunction, thoracic outlet syndrome, stress related issues, torticollis, etc.

Lysanne Lavigne

Lysanne graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007, and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. She relocated to Victoria in 2002 while pursuing a National Rowing team career, which brought her three international podium finishes. She has since continued to lead an incredibly active life style and participates in many different variety of sports for her own pleasure such as running, cycling, swimming, kiteboarding, stand up paddle boarding. She is a certified swim instructor and lifeguard as well as an NCCP certified coach.

Her clinical experience includes working with a broad spectrum of injured athletes, and surgery rehabilitation. Her primary clinical interest is injury prevention and investigation for the root cause of the problem. She is currently developing visceral manipulations skills and finishing her Health Science degree and she is continuously upgrading her knowledge to be more suited to her client's needs.

Darrelle Ann Butler

Darrelle Butler graduated from Canadian Therapeutic College (Ontario) in 1999. She started practicing Massage Therapy in Ontario in 2000. In 2002 she decided to move to Victoria and opened her first practice in Royal Oak in November of that same year. Since then Darrelle has been practicing massage in a variety of locations sharing space with other health care providers. Most recently she spent the past 5 years practicing at Equilibrium Massage Therapy.

Darrelle has also enjoyed giving back to the profession in varying capacities while she was employed at West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Darrelle worked at WCCMT from 2004 until 2009 in positions which included Instructor, Teaching Assistant and Clinic Supervisor. In those positions she taught and mentored future Massage Therapists.

Darrelle joined the team of therapists at Victoria Community Acupuncture in August 2013. In her practice Darrelle primarily uses Swedish and Myofascial techniques to provide therapeutic and relaxation treatments for her clients.

In her spare time Darrelle takes part in several activities that incorporate both healthy living and a love for the great outdoors, including running, kayaking, marathon canoeing, camping, and hiking. Her other pastimes include reading, cooking, and entertaining friends. Darrelle is enthusiastic about helping her clients maintain a healthy work/life balance.
