DId You Know: The strength of healthy hair is due to the construction of the hair fiber and the accumulation of keratin in the cortex. A dry, healthy hair can stretch up to 20 percent of its length. When the hair is wet, this increases to 50 percent. A single strand of healthy hair can hold about 100 grams (approximately 3 ounces).

The Human Body's Elements

The Human Body: 10% of our body is made up of hydrogen while 18% of it is carbon. Oxygen in our body is 65% of mass and nitrogen and phosphorus contribute to 3% and 1.2% respectively. Other elements like sulphur, chlorine, copper, iodine, zinc, iron, sodium and potassium etc are present in amounts less than a percent.
